first | previous | next | last The hair took on spiritual significance as a symbol of my reliance on God for strength with the diet. Just like Samson in the Old Testament who was set apart for God's special purpose, so too this time in my life was set apart for a special purpose. The hair was donated to a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer.
